Black Rabbit Service is looking for a Coffee Equipment Field Technician to join our team in Portland OR. Previous tech experience is a plus but not required. We pride ourselves on being a customer service forward company, while providing high quality equipment repairs. We are excited to offer this opportunity to a qualified candidate who can help service our current customers and help us grow in Portland and the surrounding areas.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a coffee shop

Have a solid understanding of how to dial in espresso, brew ratios and general extraction theory

Basic computer skills (Quickbooks, Google Docs, Excel, etc.)

Must have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record.

Ability to work on your own and have good time management
- Ability to communicate with customer on site once work is complete to go over work done, invoicing, and answer any questions
Work Environment
-
Work will be done on site at various cafes, restaurants, bars, hotels, and offices in Portland and Surrounding areas

Time spent in a van driving from one service call to another

Some repair work will be done at our shop in NE Portland
- Semi-regular trips to outer service areas (Bend, Ashland, Eastern Oregon, etc) that will require overnight stay in hotel
- Manage van parts inventory, overall van cleanliness, and communicating with manager when maintenance or repair on van are needed'
Physical Demands

Must be able to safely drive a large service van (chevy express, ford e150, etc)

Must be able to walk, stand, and kneel for extended periods

Must be able to climb a ladder

Must be able to lift up to 75lbs

Perform repetitive motion with hands, wrist, and forearms to operate tools
Compensation

Salary - $22-$30 (based on experience)
